#ChickChat Episode 68- When Should I Sell?

Is it a good time to sell my house? People always ask how's the market, but really it doesn't have to be a great market for it to be the right time for you to sell your house. Some signs that you're ready to sell are, if you have built up a lot of equity, or if you are just ready to move, you are to upsize, you're ready to downsize, or you've had a big change in your life. For example, we just had a seller last month who contacted us and she said, "Kristine, I need $40,000 out of the sale of this home to pay off my debt. And I think it's a great time in the market to do so."

So we put her house in the market with a number in mind and we would not sell her house for a less than that, so that she could pay off her debt and eventually rebuild her credit back up and then set her up for success in the future so that she can buy a house that is a better interest rate, maybe a better area of town. So it does not have to be that we're at the height of the market. It is a totally personal reason to sell your house.
